Small Agricultural Employer (25 Or Fewer Employees) Wage And Hour Increases
Employers with 25 or fewer employees must now pay a minimum wage of $14 per hour. Additionally, these employees are entitled to receive an overtime premium of one and one–half (1 ½) times the employee’s regular rate of pay for all hours worked in excess of nine and one–half (9 ½) hours per workday or fifty–five (55) hours per workweek.
Employees of Small Agricultural Employers are still entitled to double time pay only for those hours worked over eight (8) hours on the seventh (7th) day of work in the same workweek.
Large Agricultural Employer (26+ Employees) Wage And Hour Increases
Employers with 26 or more employees must now pay a minimum wage of $15 per hour. Additionally, these employees are entitled to receive an overtime premium of one and one–half (1 ½) times the employee’s regular rate of pay for all hours worked in excess of eight (8) hours per workday or forty (40) hours per workweek.
Large Agricultural Employers must now also pay double time for all hours worked over twelve (12) hours in any one workday.
