Paul Sousa
Director of Environmental Services & Regulatory Affairs

Paul Sousa is the director of environmental services for Western United Dairies. Raised on a Turlock dairy, Sousa is a 1997 graduate of UC Davis, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Resource Science, with an emphasis in land and water use management. Sousa is trilingual, speaking English, Portuguese and Spanish. He worked with the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board as an associate land and water use scientist, inspecting dairies to determine their compliance with state and federal water quality regulations. Sousa now uses that insider knowledge to assist WUD members with air and water quality regulations, climate change, and endangered species issues.
