As I wrote about recently (HERE), the California Air Resources Board (CARB) is holding a hearing on December 9 to consider a regulation on Small OffRoad Engines. You can find more information on the regulations and the
hearing here: arb.ca.gov/rulemaking/2021/sore2021

This regulation will affect small gasoline engines with less than 26 horsepower. Fortunately, there is a preemption in federal regulation that prevents CARB from regulating engines used on farms and in construction. WUD recently submitted comments on this regulation, which you can find HERE.

With the preemption in place our comments focused on disruptions that may be caused by the regulation for farmers trying to get these engines. WUD is offering to work with CARB to make sure farms can continue to access the engines we need to run our farms.
